School Buses
School Transportation Rules and Procedures
Since coming to school and returning back home in school buses is a very important tool of the educational process, a positive communication procedure between our students and the bus drivers should be applied at all times since we have well-raised students.
Mayar International Schools has issued certain rules and procedures to strengthen this objective.
This document sets the responsibilities of both the school and parents.
- Full compliance is required when getting on the school buses in the morning and make sure that students are fully prepared and ready 5 minutes before the time the bus arrives. The bus will wait 1 minute only and then will leave immediately. The parents are asked to bring their children to school if they missed the bus in the morning.
- It is the parents’ responsibility to bring their daughter/son in the KG and elementary section (1-3) to school to the drop-off area in the morning and in the afternoon as well. In case the parents were not in the designated area the bus driver will bring the child back to school and it is the parents’ responsibility to pick up their daughter/son from school. The bus will not drop them home.
- In case a situation occurs, the parent should immediately contact the school administration, not the driver or the bus assistant or any students in the bus under any circumstances.
- Parents are not allowed to enter the bus or give orders to the bus driver or the bus assistant or any student other than their daughter/ son.
Changing the bus route:
- In case of any change in their daughter/ son’s address or any change in the bus route, the parent must notify the school administration in writing and the new route to the transportation department ahead of time so that the school administration confirm a vacancy in the bus.
- In case parents needed to drop their daughter/ son to school in the morning for one day only and not use the bus, they need to notify the administration a day before.
- In case the parents needed to pick up their daughter/son from school in the afternoon, they need to inform the administration before 11:00 am.
- In case the parents needed to pick up their daughter/ son in the KG or elementary section in the afternoon by another person, not by the school bus, they need to notify the administration with the person’s name and his relation to the student related and need to show an ID when he comes to pick them up.
