Educational Counseling
The Counseling Department aims at developing the students’ self-guidance skills in order to raise their awareness and explore their potentials, abilities and the surrounding environment. This department also aims at enhancing the students’ positive behaviors, dealing with the misbehavior, teaching the students problem-solving decision making skills, and focusing on the core values of the educational process.
This department provides, as well, in cooperation with the school administration and the faculty staff life-skills classes on a weekly basis aiming at contacting directly with them and guide them according to their talents and interests. This gives the opportunity for the counselors to meet the students’ developmental and educational needs and the school’s environment’s needs.
Additionally, the Counseling Department works on undertaking major initiatives and voluntary work which grant the students the chance to serve their society through an effective participation with different and various community groups. The school’s counselors seek to guide the students academically and vocationally during their high school years; the students are allowed to directly contact the counselors every day in conformity with the counselor’s time in their office to solve their problems. One of the counselor’s duties is to record and evaluate all the problems, and then, contact the students’ parents to follow-up with them on the occurring problems.
